privacy

fit pulse is built by lifters who hate when fitness apps treat your data like a product. so this page is short, honest, and written like a real person wrote it — because one did.

last updated: january 2025

the short version

we collect the bare minimum needed to make the app work. we never sell your data. we never share your workouts with advertisers. if you use the app without signing in, your data never leaves your phone.

what we collect

if you sign in with google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo. that is how we recognize you on a new device.

when you log a workout, we store the exercises you created, your schedule, and your session history — weights, reps, rest, duration. nothing else.

we also get basic technical info that every web app gets — browser type, screen size, timezone — used only to keep things stable and fix bugs.

what we don't collect

we do not collect your real name beyond what google sends, your phone number, your address, your contacts, your location, your photos, your heart rate, or anything from other apps. we are a workout logger, not a surveillance product.

if you don't sign in

everything stays on your device. your exercises, your history, your schedule — all of it lives in your browser's local storage. we cannot see it. we cannot recover it if you clear your browser. that is the trade-off for full privacy.

how we use what we have

to run the app. to sync your data between your devices when you sign in. to fix things when they break. to send you the occasional important email (account, security, policy updates) — never marketing spam.

who else sees it

only the services that help us run the app — google for sign-in, supabase for the database that holds your synced workouts. both have their own strong privacy practices. we do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

if a court orders us to hand something over, we comply with the law — but that is the only exception.

ads

fit pulse may show ads through google adsense to keep the app free. those ads might use cookies to figure out what's relevant. we never give the ad network your name, email, or workout data. if you want to turn off personalized ads, you can do that anytime at adssettings.google.com.

cookies and local storage

we use your browser's local storage to remember your settings — dark mode, weight unit, last screen — and to cache your workouts so the app works offline. when you sign in, there is a small authentication cookie so you stay logged in. that is it.

your rights

you can export your data, correct it, or delete it any time. just email us. if you are in the eu, uk, switzerland, or california, you have additional formal rights — access, portability, deletion, objection, withdrawing consent, filing a complaint with your local authority. we honor all of them, no questions asked.

deleting your account

open the app, sign out, and email us at fitpulsegymtracker@gmail.com asking for full deletion. we remove everything within 30 days. that includes your account, your history, your schedule — all of it. permanently.

security

everything is encrypted in transit (https) and at rest. we use industry-standard authentication. no system is perfectly secure, so please keep your google account safe — that is the key to everything.

kids

fit pulse is not built for kids under 13 (16 in the eu). if you think a child created an account, let us know and we'll delete it right away.

international

your data may be processed in countries outside where you live, including the united states. wherever it goes, the same protections follow.

changes to this page

if we update anything meaningful, we'll tell you in the app or by email. the date at the top always shows when this page was last revised.

questions

everything — privacy, deletion, exports, complaints — goes to a real human at fitpulsegymtracker@gmail.com. we usually reply within 2 business days. privacy and deletion requests are prioritized.
